WCA Mission Statement: Assisting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking and their children to achieve safety and empowering them to lead self- determined lives.
Summary:
Responsible for oversight and management of all WCA direct service programs as well as marketing, public relations and training activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision of Director of Client Support Services, Legal Director, Quality & Compliance Officer and Training & Education Coordinator.
- Develop and implement programs that provide services in accordance with WCA organizational objectives.
- Actively seek out opportunities for new and current service delivery growth and expansion of programs. Participate in strategic planning, evaluation and development of initiatives to foster organizational growth.
- Support the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Support the development and monitoring program budgets.
- Monitor effectiveness of programs and implement changes to ensure compliance with grant requirements and local, state and national guidelines.
- Negotiate WCA Program Contracts with designated partners and ensure outcomes of contracts and grants are met.
- Serve as a liaison with community partners and serve on designated task forces.
- Support the promotion of programs through marketing and public relations.
- Oversee organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
- Oversee development and implementation of a plan for training and professional development of staff collaboratively with Program and Legal departments.
- Collaborate with Grants & Compliance Officer to ensure organizational training and education requirements are in compliance with accreditation, best practices, and professional standards.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Social Service, Juris Doctorate or related field required. Minimum of 5 years of program management experience required. Minimum of 3 - 5 years in executive level management including budget development required. Coaching, supervision, and evaluation of exempt and non-exempt staff required. Experience in non-profit sector preferred.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge and skills in program development and evaluation, research and outcomes analysis.
- Understanding of financial reports, application of data to assess business effectiveness and efficiency and supervision of fiscally-responsible programs.
- Ability to develop and manage multiple priorities required.
- Ability to build effective relationships within program teams; agency personnel; and community partners, collaborators, and funders.
- Ability to run effective intra- and inter-agency meetings.
- Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and database programs.
- Understanding of research and program evaluation findings especially in the development and application of Best-Practice models.
- Understanding of marketing strategies to effectively represent the Organization’s mission, programs and services.
- Understanding of best practices in training and education.
- Commitment to the mission of the Women’s Center for Advancement.
