Clarkson College is currently seeking a Life Support Program Coordinator. The Life Support Program Coordinator supports the Professional Development of educational programs for Clarkson College community consumers. This position assists with the coordination and instruction of 4,000+ consumers per year and oversees 10+ PRN/Casual instructors within the Professional Development Department. The individual assesses learning needs, plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Experienced Providers (ACLS-EP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and other healthcare professional development courses while utilizing the American Heart Association (AHA) approved curriculum. This position gives direction to instructors on schedules and course content, as well as interacting with Professional Development potential and current students.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a health or education related field required
* Minimum of one (1) year experience in adult education, teaching, or training required.
* Instructor training status in a minimum of one discipline of the American Heart Association Courses required.
* Minimum one (1) year experience in life support training required.
* Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
* Current valid motor vehicle operator's license and ability to meet and maintain insurability requirements as defined by the fleet automobile liability insurance carrier required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Healthcare experience preferred.
* Registered Nurse preferred with current Nebraska License.
