CAD Technician

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to be based in New York, NY. This position will be working on NYSDOT projects in a trainee capacity, with a focus on delivering high-quality technical support to our engineering team.

The CAD Technician will be responsible for the following essential duties:

• Execute a diverse range of complex tasks in direct support of the engineering staff, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy in project delivery.

• Rigorously monitor and meticulously document conformance with quality standards, performance metrics, safety protocols, and code requirements, maintaining the highest level of compliance at all times.

• Provide crucial assistance in performing engineering calculations, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a commitment to precision.

• Set up, operate, and maintain sophisticated equipment, adhering strictly to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and engineering installations, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, contributing to the overall integrity and traceability of project records.

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company procedures and policies, consistently meeting or exceeding set performance targets and deadlines.

• Execute routine duties with a high degree of competence, operating effectively within the scope of assigned responsibilities.

• Attend and successfully complete CADD certification classes in strict accordance with New York State DOT guidelines, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.

• One year of experience with AutoCAD.

• Experience working with New York Metro Transportation projects.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $26.00/hour - $28.00/hour.
