MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Multiple Positions - Perform complex laboratory test procedures on patients of all ages, from neonate to the elderly, to obtain information for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, following written testing procedures. Questions unusual test results and combinations and investigates prior to issuing results. Responds appropriately to all critical test results. Performs and reviews all quality control results before releasing patient results and records same. Performs instrument PMs as indicated and handles all specimens as biohazardous, using PPE as appropriate. Expected to review any procedural / policy change and attend scheduled staff meetings as well as participate in orientation of new personnel and students and complete continuing education per year.
