IT Business Analyst

Be at the center of how enterprise IT work gets defined, prioritized, and delivered. As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's project portfolio--evaluating incoming requests, assessing feasibility, and bringing structure and clarity to complex, often ambiguous needs. This role goes beyond traditional requirements gathering; you'll partner with operational, clinical, and IT leaders to define scope, identify risks, and guide initiatives through intake and assessment to ensure the right work moves forward at the right time. Your ability to connect strategy to execution, surface insights, and influence decisions will directly impact organizational efficiency and the experience of our end users.

The IT Business Analyst will play a key role in evaluating project feasibility, defining scope, and providing insights to drive efficient project initiation execution through the enterprise IT Intake process. Work closely with stakeholders from various departments to understand their objectives, gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture, and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams for IT project requests. Participate in project prioritization, sequencing and IT Assessment processes to assist with communication between Management Committees, stakeholders and IT teams. Contribute to the success of the organization by facilitating the seamless transition of projects from initiation to execution.

Required Qualifications: IT Business Analyst

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined required (one year of Education equals one year of experience).
  • Basic business and data analysis activities experience required.
  • Troubleshooting and service request fulfillment experience required.
  • Exposure to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incidents, Requests, and Change workflows required.
  • Exposure to Portfolio and Project Management tools, methods, and terminology required.
  • Providing Tier 1/Tier 2 escalation support for operational issues experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: IT Business Analyst

  • Healthcare delivery organization, higher education/research experience, and familiarity with clinical communications preferred.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA), Project or Program Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or ITIL (Foundation or higher) preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of enterprise systems (applications, platforms, databases, or infrastructure), stakeholder communication best practices, basic data analysis, reporting, or validation preferred.
  • Understanding of basic meeting facilitation activities, including development of agendas, coordination of materials, documentation of meeting minutes, and tracking action items preferred.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and apply existing standards, troubleshoot common user or system issues and document requirements, steps, or test results clearly preferred.
