Summary:
Become familiar with the duties and responsibilities of an electrician by completing the four-year apprenticeship program of study and on-the-job training. Act as lead person in coordinating crew activities as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in performing installation, inspection, and maintenance on electrical equipment associated with generating stations such as generators, motors, transformers, electronic equipment, switchgear, control wiring, electrostatic precipitators, electrical instruments, communications equipment, etc.
2. Perform work on nuclear power station equipment and components located in radioactive areas as required and keep work area clean.
3. Responsible for proper care of tools and economical use of supplies.
4. Perform tasks related to the use and handling of hazardous material.
5. Exhibits professional behavior and promotes positive working relationships internally and externally to OPPD.
¿ Adherence to all company/departmental policies, procedures and overarching safety expectations.
¿ Required overtime as needed.
¿ Regular and predictable attendance is required.
