Pricing Actuary - Product Management

This transformative career will provide you with the opportunity to lead pricing efforts, manage risk, and develop solutions to enhance the performance of Physicians Mutualâ?? s largest and fastest-growing product line. In this role, you will initiate, organize, direct, and analyze actuarial work. You will develop actuarial assumptions and direct, develop, and maintain product pricing, profit studies, reserves, rate filings, and related procedures. To be successful, you must be proficient in compiling and evaluating statistical data, and have an advanced understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance knowledge, with the ability to apply these concepts effectively.

Requirements: 

• Bachelorâ??s degree in actuarial science or related discipline.
• Completion of FSA is required.
• Ability to apply standard mathematical computations to a variety of assigned work projects
• Strong Excel experience for mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, etc.
• Ability to logically present voluminous data in a concise, understandable format
• Ability to perform several projects while maintaining rigid deadlines
• Ability to prepare basic financial and statistical reports
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build, maintain, and upgrade financial models utilizing complex actuarial concepts
• Familiarity and/or comfort with coding required
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Omaha, NE
   

 Preferred:

• Medicare Supplement pricing experience
• Experience with running SQL queries.
• Insurance Industry Experience
• ALFA experience.
