Critical Care/Trauma Physician

The second largest hospital in GA is seeking a board-certified Acute Care Surgery Physician to join a well-established Acute Care Surgery team and lead the Surgical Critical Care fellowship program as Director. The hospital is a 637-bed American College of Surgeons verified level one trauma center. The General Surgery Residency Program graduates 5 chief residents per year and 2 surgical critical care fellows. Our hospital is the teaching program for Mercer University School of Medicine. Requirements of Ideal Candidates:

• Must be Board Certified General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Medicine
• Faculty experience at associate professor level or assistant professor currently qualified to be promoted to associate professor required.
• Proficient in broad based general surgery procedures
• Active Georgia License or ability to obtain.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The hospital is part of a nearly 1,000 bed health system, which includes the 637-bed level one trauma center, a free-standing Children s Hospital, a Rehabilitation Hospital, and facilities in Baldwin and Peach counties.
