Senior Accountant On Site Position

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with daily accounting operations, working on month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining the general ledger. This role involves account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and aiding in internal controls and audits. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software are essential to support the Controller and Accounting Department effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.

Work closely with payroll to create efficiencies and ensure compliance.

Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing financial data for accuracy.

Assist with maintaining general ledger accounts and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.

Understand and review full cycle accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Support auditsby providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.

Prepare ad hoc financial reportsand analysis for management.

Education/Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).

Experience with payroll systems and processing.

Excel experience required.

NetSuite experience preferred.

Qualifications:

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).

Ability to work independently or collaborate within a team.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
