The Leidos FS2 Aero team is seeking a skilled Test and Evaluation Specialist to join our mission-critical software development team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality systems by leveraging Agile and DevOps methodologies. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement scripts, evaluate test results, and create effective feedback loops within a Continuous Integration Delivery Pipeline.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Utilize DevOps practices to maintain and enhance test case/script configurations through task management systems like JIRA/Confluence.
  • Perform your duties within cloud development environments to ensure robust software solutions.
  • Engage actively in Agile software development activities including standups, planning sessions, and sprint reviews to support innovation.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess tickets and ensure thorough testing aligns with User Story Acceptance Criteria.
  • Work with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Developers) to create test strategies that prioritize automation of regression testing.
  • Implement software development for scripting tasks and evaluation of test results within a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
  • Conduct rigorous testing related to all JIRA developer tickets.
  • Provide valuable insights to the development team regarding QA trends and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a willingness to undergo a Polygraph examination.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience (2+ years) in a relevant role.
  • Proven experience working within Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS), OpenShift, and various DevOps tools.
  • Experience in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment.
  • Ability to effectively test both back-end and front-end application processes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for task automation.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration pipelines, particularly using tools like JEST and/or Cypress.
  • Understanding of software performance testing practices.
  • Experience with the creation, execution, and documentation of test cases for agile software products.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities to execute testing that complements development activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in analyzing outputs and connecting test failures to the code changes that introduce bugs.
  • Ability to review code check-ins for understanding their effects on system functionality.
  • Experience with software development or integration projects in cloud or service-oriented environments.
  • At least 1 year of experience in unit testing, using continuous integration tools, and managing version control with git.
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude complemented by excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication style tailored to various audiences and contexts.
  • At least 1 year of experience with DoD Aeronautical Datasets.
  • At least 1 year of experience with AWS cloud formation templates.
  • At least 1 year of experience using collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph desirable.
  • DOD 8570 Compliant Certification (Sec+) preferred.

Pay Range: Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
